House, Home and Condo Terrazzo and Marble Cleaning

Marble and terrazzo stone floors need special attention in South Florida. Dirt and sand tracked in your front door gets ground into these surfaces and before you know it the shiny new “wet look” is dull and lifeless.

Are you tired of that expensive marble tile looking dull? After a while it just doesn’t have that shine and luster that it did when it was first installed.

Marble cleaning improperly can cause damage and trying to polish marble yourself is difficult and can cause extensive damage that will lead to costly repairs. If your marble gets too damaged you may have to replace it and if you didn’t know this already it is nearly impossible to replace just one tile or a section of a counter top and have it match the rest as the old section or tile did.

That’s why I suggest letting a professional handle it. We go through a three to four step process to insure that you get the best shine possible on your marble. Most chemicals used to clean marble and other natural stones are acidic and if left unneutralized can cause etching in the stone. We suggest using a neutral cleaner after the cleaner to bring the pH back to normal. This will extend the length of the life of the stone and also how long it will be before you need to polish your marble again.
